Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and smothered in bold, zesty buffalo sauce, these wings are perfect for game days, gatherings, or a weeknight treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds chicken wings, split into flats and drumettes
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce (e.g., Frank’s RedHot)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper. Toss the wings in the mixture until evenly coated.
  3. Place the wings on the wire rack in a single layer. Bake for 20 minutes, then flip them over and bake for another 20 minutes until crispy and golden brown.
  4. In a small saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Stir in hot sauce, garlic powder, and honey (if using). Mix until combined and heated through.
  5. Transfer the baked wings to a large bowl. Pour the buffalo sauce over the wings and toss until fully coated.
  6. Serve immediately with your favorite dips (blue cheese or ranch) and celery and carrot sticks.

Notes

Pat the wings dry for extra crispiness. Adjust the spice level by adding more or less hot sauce. Serve immediately for the best texture.
