  • 1 cup frozen mixed berries (strawberries, raspberries, or cherries)
  • 1 teaspoon beet powder (optional)
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) unsweetened almond milk (or oat/coconut milk)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon raw cacao powder
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)
  • Fresh strawberries and sliced almonds for topping

Instructions

  1. Slice ripe bananas into 1/2-inch pieces and freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  2. Measure out 1 cup of frozen mixed berries.
  3. Add frozen bananas to the blender first, then add the frozen berries.
  4. Sprinkle beet powder and raw cacao powder over the fruit, then add vanilla extract.
  5. Pour in 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk; add more only if needed to avoid runny consistency.
  6. Blend in pulses for 1-2 minutes until creamy and scoopable, scraping down the sides as needed.
  7. Fold in chia seeds if using.
  8. Spoon the nice cream into two bowls and top with fresh strawberries and sliced almonds.
  9. Serve immediately.

Notes
