This honey-cinnamon oatmeal bread is sweet, slightly spiced, and topped with a silky maple glaze. Perfect for breakfast, a snack, or dessert, it’s packed with wholesome ingredients like oats and honey.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (100g) old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 ¾ cups (220g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup (120ml) honey
  • ¾ cup (180ml) milk
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ cup (60g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup (120g) powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons (45ml) pure maple syrup
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan with butter or non-stick spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together oats, flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat honey, milk, egg, and softened butter until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Use a spatula to fold the mixture gently until just combined—avoid overmixing.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with the spatula.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Start checking at the 45-minute mark to avoid overbaking.
  7. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. While the bread cools, prepare the glaze by whisking powdered sugar, maple syrup, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  9. Once the bread is fully cooled, drizzle the maple glaze over the top. Let it set for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
