Flaky, buttery crescent rolls stuffed with tangy cranberry sauce and creamy cream cheese make the perfect bite-sized holiday appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tube refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 4 oz softened cream cheese
  • 8 tsp cranberry sauce (homemade or canned, whole berry preferred)
  • 2 tsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp chopped pecans (optional)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line your baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. Open the tube of crescent roll dough and unroll it onto a clean surface. Separate the triangles carefully.
  3. In a small bowl, soften the cream cheese if it isn’t already. You can microwave it for about 10 seconds to make it easier to spread.
  4. Spread about 1 teaspoon of cream cheese onto the wide end of each crescent triangle.
  5. Add a dollop (about 1 teaspoon) of cranberry sauce on top of the cream cheese.
  6. Sprinkle a pinch of brown sugar and a few chopped pecans over the cranberry sauce, if desired.
  7. Roll each crescent triangle starting from the wide end toward the point, tucking the filling as you go. Place the rolled bites seam-side down on the baking sheet.
  8. Prepare your egg wash by whisking one egg with a splash of water. Brush the egg wash lightly over the tops of the crescent bites.
  9. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown and puffed. Keep an eye on them to avoid overbaking.
  10. Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy warm!

Notes

Don’t overfill the crescent rolls to avoid spillage. Chill the dough if it gets too soft while working. Experiment with toppings like cinnamon or orange zest for added flavor.
