A quick and festive dip combining creamy vanilla frosting, cream cheese, and colorful sprinkles for a nostalgic Valentine’s Day treat. Perfect for sharing or indulging solo during the season of love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened (full-fat recommended)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) vanilla frosting (store-bought or homemade buttercream style)
  • 1 cup (100 g) vanilla wafers, lightly crushed
  • ¾ cup (90 g) rainbow sprinkles (heart-shaped or pink/red mix)
  • ½ cup (50 g) mini marshmallows (optional)
  • A few drops pink food coloring (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Soften the cream cheese by letting it sit at room temperature for at least 30 minutes or microwave gently in 10-second bursts without melting.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese with vanilla frosting. Use an electric mixer on medium speed for 2-3 minutes until silky and lump-free.
  3. Stir in vanilla extract and pink food coloring if using until evenly mixed.
  4. Gently fold in rainbow sprinkles and crushed vanilla wafers, being careful not to overmix.
  5. Optionally fold in mini marshmallows for added chewiness.
  6. Cover and refrigerate the dip for at least 30 minutes to let flavors meld and texture firm up.
  7. Transfer to a festive serving bowl and top with extra sprinkles or heart-shaped candies before serving.

Notes

Use full-fat cream cheese for best texture. For dairy-free, substitute cream cheese and frosting with dairy-free alternatives. For gluten-free, use gluten-free cookies and sprinkles. If dip is too thick after chilling, stir in 1 tablespoon milk or cream. If too thin, add more frosting or crushed cookies. Chill at least 30 minutes before serving for best flavor and texture.
