A quick, healthy, and visually stunning cottage cheese bowl featuring fresh fruits, nuts, and a touch of honey and cinnamon, perfect for Valentine’s Day or any time you want a wholesome treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (225g) small-curd cottage cheese
  • ½ cup (75g) fresh strawberries, sliced
  • ½ cup (75g) fresh blueberries
  • 1 small banana, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped walnuts
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds (optional)
  • A few drops vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Wash and slice the strawberries, slice the banana, and rinse the blueberries. Set aside.
  2. Place 1 cup (225g) of small-curd cottage cheese in a blender or food processor. Add a few drops of vanilla extract and blend until smooth but still creamy. Skip this step if you prefer texture.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the blended (or plain) cottage cheese with ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon and 1 tablespoon honey. Stir gently until evenly combined and fragrant.
  4. Spoon the cottage cheese mixture into your serving bowl or jar. Arrange the sliced strawberries, blueberries, and banana on top in an appealing pattern.
  5. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of chopped walnuts and 1 teaspoon chia seeds over the fruit.
  6. Drizzle a little extra honey on top if desired. Optionally dust with a pinch more cinnamon or add fresh mint leaves for decoration.

Notes

Use small-curd cottage cheese for best texture. Blending cottage cheese creates a smoother, more indulgent base. Keep fruits chilled before assembling for freshness. Store cottage cheese base and fruit separately if prepping ahead. Substitute coconut or almond yogurt and maple syrup for a vegan version. Swap walnuts for seeds if nut allergies are a concern.
