A quick and easy charcuterie brunch board perfect for Mother’s Day or any celebration, featuring a balanced mix of creamy cheeses, savory meats, fresh and dried fruits, nuts, and crackers arranged beautifully for a crowd-pleasing experience.

Ingredients

  • Brie cheese (soft and creamy)
  • Aged cheddar cheese (sharp and firm)
  • Goat cheese (tangy and spreadable)
  • Prosciutto (thin, salty slices)
  • Salami (peppery rounds)
  • Soppressata (spicy Italian sausage)
  • Ripe figs (halved)
  • Grapes (red or green)
  • Seasonal berries (blueberries, strawberries)
  • Dried apricots or dates (chewy sweetness)
  • Marcona almonds or walnuts (toasted)
  • Sourdough baguette slices (toasted)
  • Water crackers
  • Honey (for drizzling)
  • Grainy mustard
  • Olives (briny and savory)
  • Fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Slice the baguette into ½-inch rounds and toast in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 5 minutes until golden and crisp but still tender inside. Arrange water crackers nearby.
  2. Cut brie into wedges, crumble or spread goat cheese onto small plates or leave in a log form, and slice aged cheddar into thin rectangles about ¼-inch thick. Place cheeses evenly spaced on the board.
  3. Fold prosciutto slices into loose ribbons, slice salami into rounds if not pre-sliced, and arrange soppressata in neat piles near cheeses without overcrowding.
  4. Rinse figs and grapes gently. Halve figs and place cut side up for visual appeal. Scatter grapes and berries around the board, filling gaps.
  5. Toast Marcona almonds lightly in a dry skillet for 2-3 minutes until fragrant. Place dried apricots or dates in small clusters and sprinkle nuts around for crunch.
  6. Add honey, grainy mustard, and olives to small bowls or ramekins and place them strategically on the board for easy dipping.
  7. Garnish with fresh rosemary or thyme sprigs tucked between items for color and fragrance.
  8. Just before serving, drizzle honey lightly over the brie and figs for a glossy, inviting finish.

Notes

Slice cheeses and meats the night before and keep covered in the fridge for easy assembly. Assemble the board about 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld. For gluten-free, substitute bread and crackers with gluten-free crackers or veggie sticks. Avoid soaking wooden boards in water; wipe clean and oil occasionally.
